Nuts and Grains isn’t just nuts and grains anymore

The beauty of a small business is that we can stay lean and nimble, adapting quickly to trends and customer needs. Over the past 30 years, our catalogue has grown significantly, but our business has always been supplement-driven.

“People are always looking to boost their health and treat problems with natural remedies and supplements,” says Marion, owner of Nuts & Grains. “With Covid, we’ve also seen a growing interest in local Irish food products, which we’ve added to our in-store offering.”

By combining our expertise in supplements with a focus on quality local foods, we continue to provide products that meet the evolving needs of our customers, both in-store and online.

How has using Shiptheory and Retail Management Hero helped your business?

As a predominantly brick-and-mortar store, our POS system is central to our day-to-day operations. We use Retail Management Hero (RMH) by Positive Retail to manage stock, sales, and customer data. Since our website is fully integrated, all online orders flow directly through our POS system, keeping everything connected and streamlined.

“Connecting our EPOS system to Shiptheory has been a dream for processing online orders!” says Marion, owner of Nuts & Grains. “The work begins when we have to pick, pack, and label – which nobody wanted to do! Our account manager at Positive Retail recommended the Shiptheory module for RMH. The integration was seamless, and we’ve never looked back. The support from both Shiptheory and Positive Retail has been excellent. It’s a lifesaver, especially on a Monday morning – previously a label could take 5–10 minutes, so even with a few dozen orders, we save hours!”

With this integration, managing online orders has become far more efficient, allowing us to focus on providing a great experience for our customers, both in-store and online.

At Nuts & Grains, online orders flow directly through our RMH system, where mistakes and error codes are flagged instantly.

“I would highly recommend it – it’s just another string to your bow,” says Marion, owner of Nuts & Grains. “As customers enter their details, mistakes and error codes are picked up instantly. When the Shiptheory module for RMH was suggested to me, I was a little sceptical. I thought, oh you know, what’s a couple of hours sitting down doing labels? I said I’d look at it, but now I’m so glad that we implemented this technology!”

This integration has made picking, packing, and labeling far faster and more accurate, saving time so the team can focus on providing great service.
