How To Optimise Your Window Displays
Your store window is your biggest marketing tool. In our webinar, Katie emphasised that window displays should tell a story, not just showcase products. Here’s how you can make an impact:
- Stay on Brand – Ensure your display aligns with your stores identity and message.
- Stick to a story or theme- A well-curated theme make your window more cohesive and engaging.
- Consider the season or relevant holidays – Refresh displays to reflect current trends and events
- Use versatile props- Invest in adaptable props can be repurposed across multiple displays
- Less is More – Avoid clutter and keep the focus on key pieces to create a strong visual impact
Identifying Key Areas or Hotspots In Your Store
A hot spot or a focal point is a key-attention grabbing area in a store that customers look at right before walking in or even before entering the store.
Katie also discussed how strategic placement of products can significantly boost sales. Hotspots should be updated regularly to keep customers engaged.
Watch the webinar below, where Katie talks through the concept of ‘Money Mapping’. Money Mapping allows stores to understand what area of the floor are HOT spots for sales and which areas are under performing.
Resetting Your Store for Maximum Impact
Katie talked us through a few key tips for store resets. Refreshing your store layout keeps things exciting for repeat customers!
There are a couple of steps you need to take when implementing a retail reset within your store, but overall, you’re going to need a clear strategy before any other actions occur.
- Analyse Data: Use sales data and customer behaviour analytics to inform your layout decisions.
- Plan Your Space: Draw out a floor plan of your reset before implementation.
- Engage Your Team: Ensure that your staff is aligned with the reset goals and trained to assist customers during and after the transition.
- Communicate with Customers: Use signage and communication to guide your customers through the new layout.
- Monitor & Adjust: Post-reset, observe customer interactions with the new layout and be willing to make further adjustments.
